Lemon Jelly -
Lost Horizons An imaginatively-mixed, visionary
album from the collaborators known for remixing
everyone from the Pet Shop Boys to William
Shatner, built to sound better with repeated
listening . Perfect for driving in the country.

Way Out West -
Way Out West Arid
chillout pieces deep enough to avoid collapsing
in on themselves, like "Questions Never
Answered" (in which the question never
answered is, "What did you do?"), and
"Earth," in which an electronically
altered voice narrates, "The whole surface
of the earth/ Was changed/ Melting and flowing
before my eyes." 1997

Art of Noise - In
No Sense? Nonsense! "I've got to have my coffee and
my Art of Noise fix," now poet-author Rebecca Childers would explain to me on our
way to classes in the 80's. I've been listening
to Art of Noise ever since. This album somewhat
controversially drops an implausible reworking of
the "Dragnet" theme song into a
nourishing soup of boys choir, racetrack sound
samples, and the haute-pop "Fin du
Temps." 1993
